The plan is to turn a 1930 Model A Ford coupe, salvaged from a hedgerow in rural Michigan, into a vehicle capable of a global adventure. The project itself has moved forward, sputtered and stalled, but looks like it is now back on track.
This year, 2007, will be make or break. Either the vehicle gets built and the journey begins or all the parts collected so far gets sold on eBay!
Find out what is involved in traveling around the world in a hotrod.
As you can see we have a new website. The original Flash site was getting a bit tired.
I have a workshop now, Kinda! I live on a lake and like a lot of lake houses it's on a small cramped lot. This means there is no room anywhere to build a workshop and so I had to be a bit creative. I bought a semi trailer and parked it at a good friends farm. This spring I will fit it out with benches and tools and voila! a workshop!
Where do I start?
As many of you know D.V.T. awareness (Deep vein thrombosis) is something of a cause for me and I am still seriously considering using this trip to publicize the fact.
The idea currently is to invite passengers on the trip who will contribute $1 per mile. They can ride for 10 miles to (whatever). Half of the money raised will go to DVT awareness and the other half will go toward the trip.
Would you join me for part of the journey? Let me know what your feelings are.
