Traveling Across India With Two Sisters, Three Enfield Motorcycles And A Hopelessly Western Mindset.
A few years ago I did a reckless thing.
I bought a huge backpack, some tough new boots, a Leatherman penknife and a plane ticket to New Delhi. 
At the time I was simply thinking that this would be a nice break from the current struggles and woes of everyday life and I would return home in a few months with some nice memories and that would be that.
Ha!
It turns out that if you go on an extended peregrinate to India then spend six months backpacking across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and on to Australia, you change. A terrible bug takes hold of you and you're transformed into an adventure travel nut who spends the better part of every day wistfully yearning for the dusty road ahead. All you want to do is sell all your stuff, grab your surprised wife and hop on a bus to South America.
